Waterline Replacement- Phase 2
The waterline replacement includes approximately 5,000 linear feet of 8-inch waterline. The plans were approved by Harris County and Harris County Flood Control in the summer of 2023. The plans were bid and awarded in an amount of $554,978.00 to Bull-G Construction. The construction project is expected to begin on June 28, 2024. Phase 2 should be completed by winter of 2024. Phase 2 includes the following streets:
– Wade Road
– Johnson Road
– Juarez Street
– Morelos Road
Hurricane Preparedness 2024
Let’s get ready for hurricane season. Today you can determine your hurricane risks, determine whether you live in an evacuation zone, review/update your insurance policies, replenish your hurricane emergency supplies, and start thinking about how you will prepare your home for the coming hurricane season. You are encouraged to complete these simple preparations before hurricane season begins on June 1. Here are some tips to keep in mind:
- Determine your risks.
- Develop an evacuation plan.
- Assemble disaster supplies.
- Update your insurance.
- Strengthen your home.
When a hurricane warning is issued by the National Weather Service and the coastal area is threatened, you should:
- Monitor your local TV and radio stations.
- Fuel your vehicles and generators.
- Check your disaster supply kit.
- Cover windows with plywood.
- Bring in all furniture, toys, and any other objects that could become dangerous.
- Take pictures of your property and contents for insurance purposes.
- Evacuate immediately, if advised.
